You, I, they ?– Come on, tell.
Well, what about its inner organs?
Have you seen them all ever?
Viewing them as images is not the same as
seeing them function inside a tusker.
And, what about its feelings?
Have we ever cared?
Stop feeling superior
when you are far from that.
See yourself in the mirror
Bespectacled or not
your vision is blurred. –
Let me tell you that.
Instead of parrotting the ‘elephant tale’
use your brain a little bit
take some time to go see a visually impaired child
and listen to what she or he has to say
about the elephant’s form.
Please don’t hide behind a cliche
that is insensitive to the core
and still claim that you care for
your suffering brethren’s welfare.
Half-baked intelligence being the norm
you would find it difficult to stay informed
about the visually impaired
or, for that matter, any other
But you would go on blabbering
unhindered.
