 SAY ‘NO’ TO WAR – AND, SAY ‘NO’ TO EXPLOITING THE WARLIKE SITUATION TO SPREAD HATRED AGAINST INDIAN GOVERNMENT AND HINDUISM

Nobody wants War. At the same time nobody can deny the fact that war is an existential reality in the present day international scenario(saying ‘From time Immemorial’ would be more apt). the enormous funds spend by the world nations for defense bears testimony to this.

Our country INDIA has never initiated war against any country for expanding its territory or enslaving the people . Now also, only after the massacre of innocent tourists and the continuous ceasefire and border violations by Pakistan and their nurturing the terrorists to disrupt the peace and harmony in India that the Indian government has rightly retaliated. But, conveniently forgetting all these preaching India about Peace and Harmony and spreading a false narrative that the tourists in Pahalgam were not shot dead on religious grounds (so, shooting them should be condoned?) and accusing the Indian government of lying about the incident, making all those affected ones and eye-witnesses of the horrid incident abject liars, is highly objectionable and condemnable.

True, we shouldn’t view Terrorism on religious ground. But, we should regard Terrorism as Terrorism and speak against it. The ordinary people in India and the world over have a clear perception on the issue of Terrorism (inland as well as cross-border Terrorism) and that is why they live in peace and harmony, by and large. They don’t hesitate to condemn whoever unleashes Terrorism.

At this critical period even the Opposition Parties and the Indian People of various religions and also of the entire world stand with India a group of people supposed to be endowed with the milk of human kindness and social concern keep tarnishing India’s and Indian Government’s image, setting up a false narrative against Indian government and holding them responsible for all cross-border terrorism. This is shameful, to say the least.

[Even if it is all due to security lapse, that doesn't condone the terrorists' atrocities in any way. Also, even if it is a security lapse, should the Indian government keep regretting it and do nothing more? }

These lot would hail some wars waged by their idols where millions were killed but condemn the Indian Government for its counter-attack. Maybe, heart of hearts they dream and aspire for a dictato rial government and not a democratically elected one. These lot would hail patriotism in their revolutionary lands but call it ‘backward thinking’ and even ‘fundamentalism’ and fanaticism when their Indian brethren have it.

Our soldiers fighting for us belong to various religions and castes. Many hail from the lower strata of society with the vision and mission of safeguarding our land and their fellowmen. In this warlike scenario decrying India and Indian government is insulting our soldiers and demeaning their valour and commitment towards safeguarding the interests of our country.

SAY ‘NO’ TO WAR. OFCOURSE, WE SHOULD. BUT, NONE SHOULD USE THIS SLOGAN TO TARNISH THE IMAGE OF OUR MOTHER LAND. WE CAN POETICALLY SAY THAT THE WORLD IS OUR HOME. BUT, EXCEPT INDIA, IN ALL OTHER LANDS WE WOULD BE MOSTLY EITHER VISITORS, IMMIGRANTS OR REFUGEES. LET US NOT FOREGET THIS.
