HUMANS TRANSFORMING INTO NATURE
The people watch the houses very intently.
They vacate from each second
Can’t come out of everything that easily.
The residual words
They add to the massive mount of words
In the middle of their place
Those who are unable to part with the sayings
of sacred scriptures
Go in search of their respective gods.
The lambs in the butcher shop are untied and set free
Caste-leaders ask their people to gather in one place
and that there shouldn’t be any inter-caste affair
even in death.
Some heads move backwards.
For facilitating suicide to those
who don’t want to see the end of earth
Religion has made special arrangement.
Humans had tattoos carved on them.
For easy identification
on meeting either in heaven or in hell
the queue for tattoos went on elongating.
As the doom approached closer and closer
Birds began to talk to the children
They taught them how to fly.
Once they learnt it the children forgot names;
Religions god, not required.
He who was watching the approach of Doom
in live telecast gave out the latest news
That Doom would attack humans alone
In the narrow interval of the hour of crisis
Humans strove to become river and mountain
or at least the shit-wiping stone.
How to become tree within ten minutes _
They were asking the tree.
The trees went on spreading their shades.
Knowing how to metamorphose into butterflies
the lovers escaped.
Man who dared to raise the scythe and slice
from the time he had heard this news
went on pleading with the goat
to think of him as leaves and eat.
Doom kept driving people
into Nature.
இயற்கையாகும் மனிதர்கள்
இன்னும் பன்னிரெண்டு மணி நேரத்துக்குள்
அழியப்போகும் உலகத்தில்
மக்கள் வீடுகளை உற்றுப்பார்க்கிறார்கள்
ஒவ்வொரு நொடியிலிருந்தும் காலி செய்கிறார்கள்
எல்லாவற்றிலிருந்தும்
சுலபமாக வெளியேற முடியவில்லை
மீதமான சொற்களை
ஊருக்கு நடுவே இருக்கும்
பெரிய சொற்குவியலோடு சேர்க்கிறார்கள்
புனித நூல்களின் வசனங்களை பிரிய முடியாதவர்கள்
அவரவர் கடவுளைத் தேடிப் போகிறார்கள்
கசாப்பு கடையின் ஆடுகள் கழற்றி விடப்படுகின்றன
சாதி தலைவர்கள் தங்கள் மக்கள்
ஒரே இடத்தில் கூட வேண்டுமென்றும்
சாகும் போதும் சாதிக்கலப்பு கூடாதென சொல்கிறார்கள்
கொஞ்சம் தலைகள் பின்னால் செல்கிறது
பூமி அழிவதை பார்க்க விரும்பாதவர்கள்
தற்கொலை செய்வதற்கு
பிரத்யோக ஏற்பாட்டை செய்திருந்தது மதம்
மனிதர்கள் பச்சை குத்தி கொண்டார்கள்
சொர்க்கத்திலோ நரகத்திலோ சந்தித்தால்
கண்டுக்கொள்ள எளிதாகுமென்று
பச்சை குத்திக்கொள்ள நீண்ட வரிசை
ஊழி நெருங்க நெருங்க பறவைகள்
குழந்தைகளிடம் பேசத்தொடங்கின
பறப்பது எப்படியென கற்றுக்கொடுத்தது
கற்றுக்கொண்டவுடன் குழந்தைகள் பெயரை மறந்தார்கள்
மதங்கள் கடவுள் தேவைப்படவில்லை
ஊழி வருவதை நேரலையில்
பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்த வன் சொன்னான்
ஊழி மனிதர்களைத்தான் தாக்குமென்பது
அண்மைச் செய்தியாம்
அவசரகால குறுகிய இடைவெளியில் மனிதர்கள்
நதியாகவும் மலையாகவும் குறைந்த பட்சம்
பீ துடைக்கும் கல்லாகவும் மாற முயன்றனர்
பத்து நிமிடக்காலத்திற்குள் மரங்களாவது எப்படியென
மரங்களிடம் கேட்டு கொண்டிருந்தனர்
மரங்கள் தன் நிழலை விரித்துக்கொண்டே சென்றது
பட்டாம் பூச்சிகளாக மாறிவிடும் வித்தை தெரிந்ததால்
தப்பித்தார்கள் காதலர்கள்
அறுவாளை ஓங்கி வெட்ட துணிந்த மனிதன்
இந்த செய்தியை கேட்டதிலிருந்து
ஆட்டிடம் தன்னை இலைகளாக
நினைத்தும் உண்ணும் படி கேட்டுக்கொண்டான்
ஊழி மனிதர்களை
இயற்கைக்குள் அனுப்பிக்கொண்டிருந்தது
