இசவாதிகளும்

இலக்கியவாதிகளும்

குழுமியிருந்த கூடாரத்திலிருந்து

நம்முள் ஒருத்தன் அப்புறப்படுத்தப்பட்டான்

ஒரு செயல் நிகழ்த்த காரணம் மட்டும் வேண்டும்

அது

பொய்யா?

உண்மையா? அவசியத்திற்கான தேவையில்லை

அவர்களின் அவசரத்தில் தெளிகிறது

பொய்யின் உண்மை

இல்லாத விதியை எப்படி மீறினொம் என

எண்ணுவதற்குள்

விலங்கேறியிருக்கிறது அவன் கைகளில்

அறிவை பரப்ப ஆரம்பித்து

லாபம் பெருக்கவும்

சுய விளம்பரம் தேடவும் பழகிப்போனோம்

இன்னும்

பலரும் அறிந்திக்கவில்லை

அவன் அப்புறப்படுத்தப்பட்டது

அறிந்தவர்களில் சிலர்

அவன் விரட்டப்பட்டான் என்றார்கள்

சிலர்

விடுவிக்கப்பட்டான் என்றார்கள்

அவன் விரட்டப்பட்டிருந்தால்

நாம் அடிமைகள்

அவன் விடுவிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தால்

நாம் கைதிகள்

எதுவாகினும்

அடக்கி வாசிப்பதே அழகு

From the camp filled with activists and men of Isms and
literary personalities
one from our midst was removed.
For an act to be performed
suffice to have just some reason.
Whether it is true or false
No need to validate.
In their haste is clearly seen
True Lie.
Ere he could start wondering
when and how he violated the rule that is nonexistent
His hands were chained.
Embarking on the mission to spread knowledge
soon we got used to mint profit
and indulge in self-aggrandizement.
That he is removed, not many know as yet.
Of those who know
Some said that he was chased away;
Some others said that he was relieved.
If chased away
We are slaves
If relieved
We are captives.
Whatever be the case _
Better not to cry hoarse
