 MASTERS!

Being safe inside their palatial mansions
Sitting in their grand sofas
Sipping coffee tea or wine
Or when they dine
Having myriad dishes
and myriad ways to entertain
They speak, discuss, debate
The sad fate of
the underprivileged millions…

Again and again
Fraternal feelings they feign;
Using the same refrain
All to their gain….

With the same intention
of causing tension
amidst people of
various sections
They spoon-feed questions
To you me and to our Mother Land's
daughters and sons…

Never considering their slaves as equals
these Masters go on giving sermons on
the Milk of Human Kindness
so as to keep the gullible people away
from thinking on their own
and make them feel disowned.

In hundred and odd ways
They make you echo all that they say
Treating you as non-entities always
and thereby hangs a tale.

Claiming to be the voice of the voiceless
They succeed in hoodwinking the people
into believing as success their downfall_
And the tragedy of it all.
